  2. situations,the bar code is seen most commonly
  3. in the retail outlets of today.In the Super 
  4. Market the computerized information contained
  5. on the bar code is read by reflected laser
  6. light on the check-out reader and supplies
  7. such information as the product price,the
  8. size/weight and name of the product to,first,
  9. the check-out operator in the production of
  10. the customers bill and then on up the chain
  11. to the Store's warehouse(for re-ordering
  12. purposes)and so to the Supplier.
  13. The hand-held units used by stockcheckers are
  14. called EPOS(Electronic Point of Sale).
